#can we just talk about this moment for a second? i’ve seen people interpret this from a ship perspective #but how about from a character perspective quickly? derek’s a werewolf. we don’t know a lot about his history #but we can assume that his family taught him about the hunters and why they hunted them. #we can assume he had run ins with hunters other than the argents while he wasn’t in beacon hills. #we can assume that he was taught that the hunters think of him as an abomination. a blight on the face of humanity #and that they needed to be hunted and killed. much like they’re trying to do with this new creature. #so when he’s searching for a word to describe it and stiles calls it an abomination? it has to sting a little #especially when he has to agree. but he almost looks a smidge grateful that stiles was the one to say it and he didn’t. #because he’s a shapeshifter too. and essentially - all shapeshifters are considered abominations
