“Don’t even think about it. I will slash his throat.”
“Stiles, don’t!” Scott shouts.
“Ah ah, don’t move,” Kali purrs and tightens her grip on Scott.
Derek doesn’t do anything. He doesn’t know what to do. In front of him Deucalion has Stiles, to his left there’s Kali with Scott and, finally, to his right, Ennis with Isaac. Which one? Deucalion asked him for what it feels like an eternity now. The clock is ticking and patience is not a virtue with these alphas. He learned that already; the hard way.
He hears steps behind him, but he doesn’t turn away from the scene.
“No…” Allison whispers.
She’s not alone. Ethan, Aiden and Lydia are with her.
“We’re too late!” Lydia says.
“We have an audience. Good. The final scene, Derek. Which final are you going to choose? The lost beta you adopted, the one you call brother, or this human you love so much?”
“How am I suppose to choose?” He grits between his teeth, barely even looking at them in the eyes. His pack, his family. The only thing that matters right now. And he’s about to lose it. Again.
“Maybe the prettiest one,” Kali says. “Let’s see… I was never a fan of blondes. Maybe you can spare that one. If you beg, maybe Ennis can make it quick?” She laughs, a dark and cold laugh. “I don’t know what you see in the human, but this one…,” she pets Scott’s hair, “I like this one.”
Beside him, Allison points an arrow at Kali. Right after, he hears Stiles choke as Deucalion tightens his grip.
“No! Stop!” Derek shouts.
“Oh, that’s right, I forgot! He’s the one in love with the hunter. Romantic. But so tragic…” Kali mocks. Derek can feel how Allison’s rage boils on the top of her skin as Kali’s claws travel around Scott’s body.
“Maybe three is too much,” Deucalion says. “What if we kill one and then you only have to choose between the remaining two?”
“Derek, I won’t miss the shot. I’ll get her right in the head,” Allison says, despite her emotions, her voice is remarkably steady.
“We can hear you. You know that, right?” Kali asks in a playful tone.
“She thinks this is a game.” Ennis says. Isaac is still unconscious.
Like a new set of soldiers, Ethan and Aiden move to each side of Derek. But it’s all in vain. Arrows, claws. None of it matters when the three people he cares the most will die in a millisecond the instant someone moves. He can’t choose.

I want Danny to just w r e c k Ethan. Like emotionally and physically. I want him to ache when he’s away from Danny, n-e-e-d him by his side. I want him craving Danny’s touch and comfort to make him feel complete. I want him crying because he didn’t know it would be this way, and I want him begging for Danny to just come to their side quietly because he can’t kill him and he can’t kill his twin.
I want him to just break down and suffer.
I wholeheartedly want this to hurt.
